New Law recognizes pharmacist as providers in Massachusetts

In early January, the governor of Massachusetts signed legislation that includes language recognizing pharmacists as health care providers in the state.

This is a culmination of nearly a decade of advocating for pharmacists and their profession in our state,” said Massachusetts Pharmacists Association President Maureen Judkins, PharmD, in a video message on Twitter. “While we still have work to do as an organization in terms of reimbursement models and scope of practice, which are not part of the bill, we can celebrate this achievement for the profession.”
